Sustainability Policy
As a small enterprise SHARP is committed to contributing to the sustainability of society and our global environment. As a social research organisation SHARP can play a role in promoting sustainability through its own actions and its contact with policy makers, customers and other stakeholders in society.
We look to reduce our carbon footprint, and develop sustainable approaches to conducting research and consultancy.
We support The UK Government Sustainable Development Strategy, Securing the future, launched by the Prime Minister in March 2005, which builds on the 1999 strategy, A better quality of life. This strategy sets out the goal of sustainable development as:
'Enabling all people throughout the world to satisfy their basic needs and enjoy a better quality of life, without compromising the quality of life of future generations'
